I’ve known Joelle–Jola, as we call her–since she was barely a teenager, and now I’m so proud to see her nearing the end of her high school years and moving onto the next phase of life. Joelle is a stunning young woman, and this senior session was a ton of fun to photograph, with bright polka-dot backgrounds, the soft glowy light of the morning and siblings in tow. Enjoy the flood of photos coming your way… there were so many to choose from and I had a hard time narrowing it down.
We happened to find this little bit of graffiti with Jola’s graduating year as we were walking to our next location, so of course, we couldn’t help but stop and take a few here.
The golden light here was just perfect for a spin!
I love how these photos really capture Joelle’s fun and quirky personality. Some of these poses are just so “her.”
We ducked in between the trains to capture this next set of photos, which happen to be some of my favorites. The light was so pretty there, as morning was just starting to spill over the top of the cars.
If you didn’t notice from the title, this was just Part 1. We actually plan to do a few other mini sessions throughout the other seasons (I’m late posting this one of “Summer,” and “Fall” has already been shot and edited as of the time I’m writing this, haha). So stay tuned for more of the lovely Jola!
For now, I just want to say congratulations, Joelle, for making it to your senior year. Your future is as bright as your smile, and I can’t wait to watch what is in store for you.
