What is wedding branding?

Gallerie Q Instagram - Wedding Branding

Wedding branding–if you’re a bride or a creative involved in the wedding industry, you’ve probably heard this phrase popping up more and more frequently. What does it really mean?

I remember one of the first questions I was asked by almost anyone I talked to when I was planning my wedding: “What are your colors?” I also remember kind of panicking when I didn’t have an answer right away. I didn’t have a venue or a dress or a florist yet–wait, which was I supposed to pick first? What if it didn’t all go together? I needed a vision.

Your wedding vision is made up of a lot of things. It could be a theme or aesthetic (boho chic, nautical, rustic, carnival, Tuscan or simply “classic wedding”). It could be the flowers you’ve set our heart on since you were a little girl, those dresses you know your girls would look amazing in, the food you hope your guests will rave about for months–the list can go on and on. But what ties all those things together and makes it really YOU?

Here at Gallerie Q, we believe the answer is branding your wedding. We look at all those things that inspire you, listen to your story and who you are as a couple, and help you come up with colors, fonts, a mood board and even a logo that will help direct you throughout the wedding planning process. Then, we apply that branding to all the designed pieces of your wedding, from Save the Dates to invitations, to decor signage, favor labels, place cards and seating charts, programs and more. You can bring your brand board to meetings with your florist or coordinator, color match your bridesmaids dresses, use it as a guideline for buying decor, and more. In the end, you’ll have a unified look that ties your whole day together and captures your unique vision.

This is my favorite industry trend! We realized that our company had been branding weddings before we knew what to call it. It makes it so easy for everyone to be on the same page and for no detail to go unnoticed!
