When Melissa approached me to ask me to take their “family” Christmas pictures, she told me she was hoping to find some Christmas pajamas for Bubba and Polly. Doggies in pajamas? I couldn’t help but say yes! Melissa and Chris were hoping for some cozy indoor photos in front of a fireplace, so this photoshoot required us to set up the indoor lighting equipment. (I’ll admit I rarely use it, because… #naturallightphotography.) Still, I’m pretty excited with how these photos turned out, and I think we definitely got that warm, snuggly vibe!
Isn’t this one of Bubba the Beagle absolutely adorable? Bubba wasn’t too thrilled about having his picture taken, in pajamas no less! But the shots of him “smiling” and ones like this more than make up for the distracted/unhappy/whimpering shots that don’t appear here!
We traded backgrounds to feature this soft, glowy look with twinkle lights. (More to come later in the post.)
And then, while Chris and Melissa ducked away to change outfits, Bubba finally found his happy place. Apparently he really loves soft fluffy things. #contentment
Outside, we grabbed a few quick photos of just Melissa and Chris, and then we added in the fur babies for some family portraits. :)
Chris called this his Abercrombie pose. Love it!
Then it was time for Polly’s close up . She had been loving the camera the whole time–always looking and posing for us (unlike her brother, ahem!)
